... ScramPhoto protects you in two easy steps
Safer Sharing Step 1: Scramble Photo Time And Location Data.
Stop sharing too much information.

The problem:
Photos contain extra information known as “EXIF metadata”.
This includes the date and time of the photo, the camera used, and the GPS location.
This reveals more about you than you think.
Using your photos, it's possible to construct a timeline of your movements, learning your habits, favorite places, daily routines and travel patterns. This information can be used against you in ways you can't predict.
Examples of photo metadata:
- Canon EOS 60D, f/1.6, 1/250 s. ISO-400
- 14 February 2014
- N55.759722°, E37.617777°
- 12:00 UTC−7
Our solution
Scramble the GPS location - Modern smartphones and digital cameras geo-tag by default.

- Before ScramPhoto: GPS location reveals the exact location your photo was taken.
- After ScramPhoto: GPS location is either removed,
or scrambled to a false location.
Scramble the date & time - Cameras tag your photos with the date and time.

-
Before ScramPhoto: Exact date and time of photo.

23 Abril 2012 -
After ScramPhoto: Removed, or replaced with false date and time:
01 January 2006
01 janvier 2006
01 Enero 2006
Remove the camera information.

-
Before ScramPhoto: Camera Model: Nikon 1 AW1
Serial Number: 61000357
Lens: 1 Nikkor AW
11-27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 - After ScramPhoto: All camera information completely removed
Safer Sharing Step 2: Discourage And Prevent Unauthorized Use.
The problem:
Many photo sharing sites can legally use your images for profit. And anyone can illegally download your photo. The unauthorised use of your photos is a major problem.
Your personal, family and professional photos can be used in public arenas like banners and billboards, magazines and websites without your knowledge.
Our solution
Make your photos commercially unappealing in four ways:
Downsize and reduce photo quality

Looks good on screen, but becomes pixellated when enlarged.
Add watermarks to your photos

Adding a watermark makes your photos commercially worthless. It's the same technique used by stock photography sites to prevent piracy. Great for professional photographers.
Add a visible copyright or disclaimer messages

Adding a copyright or disclaimer message can both strengthen your legal rights by making your intention for the photo clear, and also make the image unsuitable for commercial exploitation.
Add an invisible copyright or disclaimer message

ScramPhoto can even add a copyright or disclaimer message of your choice, in the photo’s metadata itself. This provides you with clear proof of ownership without ever affecting the look or composition of your original photo.
